Vincent McIndoe is a celebrated Canadian artist and illustrator. He was born in 1962 and raised in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. As a boy, his practice of filtering his reality through his artistic practice attracted the attention of his teachers and mentors. He was awarded scholarships to study at Ontario College of Art and Design. There he specialized in painting and illustrations, was recognized with awards. After graduating in 1985, he spent years engaging in the study of fine art restoration, and there acquired the knowledge of techniques and mediums used by the great artists.

His enormous talent attracted attention in the commercial world and he began a long parallel career in illustration. His illustrations have been featured in Allure, Applied Art Magazine, Time Magazine, Playboy, Four Season’s, Intercontinental Hotels, Nike, The London Times, Campbell’s, Penguin Publishing, BMW, Nestle, Lindt Chocolate, Honda, Moet & Chandon, Stolichnaya Vodka, Big Apple Circus, Starbuck’s, Wine Spectator, Tokaji, Anheuser-Busch and MarvelStudios/Disney.

In 1996, he was first honored with a commission from the Federal Government of Canada to create a portrait of Queen Elizabeth of Canada Post. Since then he has received commissions for more than 20 stamps for Canada Post, including the Canals of Ontario (1998), the city of Toronto’s 200th anniversary stamp, and the stamp marking the 50th anniversary of All Star Games (2000). He was also chosen for the Hudson’s Bay Company’s 325th-anniversary commemorative Silver Dollar.

Vince has lectured extensively on multimedia and painting at Sheridan College and Ontario College of Art and Design, and has received numerous awards and honors distinguishing both his careers as a painter and an illustrator. Vince’s paintings have exhibited internationally, with current solo exhibition in South Korea. His paintings examine the human condition and explore the themes of love, loss, and friendship.
